Hi everyone, and welcome! Another day, and another season in our great city. . . I hope you can take a moment each day to savor it.
Just a bit on myself: I’m a classically trained pianist, and earned my college degree in piano performance. I’ve played and performed piano all of my life, and even taught it for awhile after graduation. I try to put in a few hours of keyboard exercizes and playing each weekend.
When I’m not at the keyboard, I try to indulge in my other hobbies, such as opera (yeah, that's right, and the real stuff, not the faux stuff!) cooking (thank goodness my husband is a good sport and a willing guinea pig for many of my culinary concoctions), sports activities, and reading.
Before my days in DC, I spent eleven years at rock station WDVE in Pittsburgh. I’ve been on the air in Washington for about 16 years, first at WCXR (classic rock), which morphed into Smooth Jazz 105.9, then at MIX.
In all, it’s been a wonderful experience – and I’ve had the opportunity to meet many famous artists along the way. Best of all, I’ve met lots of terrific radio listeners who have become friends.
