Well what do you know. I've finally found a little time to do a bio!
I've been fortunate to have lived here in the DC area my whole life. What a great place. I think if I had been born in Antarctica, I would not be a happy fellow.
I graduated from the University of MD (when they actually offered a degree in Radio, TV & Film). Over the years, I've worked at several stations on-air, as a Promotions Director, and in production. One of the coolest jobs?...4 years doing middays for the Voice of America's VOA Europe. We played music like we do here at MIX, and like Jerry Lewis in France, they loved me in Europe. I was a legend in my own mind!!
What a thrill to now be doing middays here at MIX 107.3. Life is so full of strange twists & turns.
For the past 12+ years I've worked here behind the scenes as MIX 107.3's Imaging and Production Director. All the little station promos and elements between the songs???...I produce those! Perhaps I 've produced something with you winning one of our contests! Hopefully you won a lot of money or a car or something huge!! And of course, along the way, you've likely heard me fill in on-air umpteen million times.
During 10 of these 12 + years I sat across the glass from Celeste Clark everyday watching her perform her midday show magic. She was a joy both on and off the air. I can tell you that we all continue to miss her very much around here. I consider it to be an honor sitting behind the same microphone entertaining you like she did for so many years!
And what makes this job so great? You! We've got the best audience anywhere! Thanks so much for listening!!!
