
U2 made a name for themselves by being a band with a conscience, breaking onto the scene in the early 80s with hits like "Pride (In The Name Of Love," a tribute to civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Of course, they still wore their hair long and had a fair share of post-punk panache, but we've always loved them for their big hearts and many humanitarian causes.
