We should all know by now...if the forecast calls for tons of snow...it's NOT going to happen. I knew the so-called "snowquester" was going to be a bust. The projection for my neck of woods (near Tysons Corner/Vienna) was for between 8-12inches.

I woke up this morning to a couple of inches of snow. There was a lull in the snowfall, so I took the dog for a walk. I could tell from the slushy mess on our neighborhood roads that the weather was a bit too warm to get nearly a foot of snow.

I had planned to go into work a little later than usual anyway...so I went up to my home office and looked out the window for a while. It looked so peaceful behind my house...

By the time I left the house at 1pm, we had nearly 4-inches of snow. It didn't accumulate much more after that. It's okay. Most of my friends in the DC area got just RAIN. At least I had my office view.
