Don surprised me with a bunch of amazing Christmas presents...but the one that shocked me the most was a trip to Atlanta to see visit my best friend Jimmy Alexander!
Little did I know, Don had been planning the surprise for WEEKS (with Jimmy's consent). We flew down to visit Jimmy for a long weekend (Thurs-Sun) since we already had those days off. It was SO GREAT to see him again...and I absolutely LOVE his new place. Here we are, posing on his new red leather couch...
When Jimmy lived in DC, he would come over to our house for dinner almost every weekend. This time, Jimmy hosted dinner with TACO NIGHT...
We had a blast exploring his new city. One of our favorite places for breakfast was GOLDBERG'S...
We also managed to find an Italian restaurant that serves a good chicken parm (Jimmy's favorite dish)...
It was sad to say "goodbye"...but I know we'll see him again in a few short months. Thankfully, the flight down to Atlanta is only an hour and 20-minutes long.
