In order to work on the air at our station, you have to be a member of AFTRA (American Federation of Radio and Televistion Artists). Well, last year, our union merged with SAG (Screen Actors Guild). That means that I'm in the same union as movie stars. I didn't really notice a big difference from an operational standpoint, so I kind of didn't think about it...until last week.

For the FIRST time in my nearly 20-years as an AFTRA (now SAG-AFTRA) member, I started getting amazing gifts in the mail. Just last week alone, I was given these full length features of BEST PICTURE nominees!

I'm not sure how many more will arrive in the coming weeks (leading up to the Oscars)...but there are 10 movies nominated in the category. I was SO EXCITED to get these in the mail, because now, I can see the films from the comforts of my home for FREE! I can't wait to make some popcorn and watch these (even though I've already seen ARGO).
