1^stAnnual BoxCart Moving and Storage Fill-A-Truck Food Drive

Ashburn, VA- Most people think about hunger around the holiday season, but what about all the other months of the year? Often the food banks shelves are cleared out during the holiday season and in need of replenishment the months following.

That’s why on January 20^th, BoxCart Moving and Storage along with members of the community will be set up in the parking lot of the Giant Food Store located at 44110 Ashburn Village Blvd, Ashburn, VA to collect food donations for those in need.

BoxCart Moving and Storage has one goal for the afternoon: Fill an entire truck with food to benefit the Loudoun Interfaith Relief Food Bank.

With more than 16,500 people in Loudoun County live on incomes that put them at risk of hunger every day, this drive will provide direct relief to Ashburn residents that are struggling to find their next meal.

All members of the community are invited to come by and support BoxCart’s efforts to “fill a truck” with food. While all food donations are welcome, the most needed items are canned vegetables, fruits, meat and tuna, rice, beans, pasta and peanut butter.

“It’s just amazing to see how dedicated our moving partners are,” says Adam Lowy, Executive Director of Move For Hunger. “We are so excited for BoxCart’s first Fill-A-Truck Food Drive and can’t wait to see the outcome.”

Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that works with relocation companies across North America to pick up unwanted, unopened food from those who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks.
