Try Something New With Calleva!

Calleva means "where the paths cross," and Calleva is your family’s connecting point for great adventure in the DC area. 

Calleva’s innovative summer camp program is perfect kids looking for summertime outdoor adventure.  

Calleva 2013 Summer Camp offers the following options (and more!):  Kayaking, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Adventure Racing, Rafting, Rock Climbing, Sailing, Growing Green Farming, Horseback Riding, Fishing, Adventure Island exploration, and Mountain Biking. 

Calleva Cubs (ages 4-5) enjoy a full day of outdoor fun created especially for preschoolers, including hikes, water fun, arts & crafts and farm activities.  

Calleva Explorers (ages 6-9) get a taste of the same activities as Adventure campers.  Explorers rotate through introductory water, trail & farm experiences without an overnight campout.

Adventure campers (ages 9-15) can choose a single activity and focus on it for a full week, visiting a different wilderness area every day and enjoying an overnight campout on Thursday.  

Calleva Leadership School trips are for teens (ages 13-17).  CLS students visit gorgeous wilderness areas, enjoying itineraries that mix unparalleled adventure, leadership development and personal discovery.

All Calleva instructors follow Leave No Trace wilderness ethics. 

Calleva is certified by the American Camp Association & the Maryland Association of Environmental & Outdoor Educators.

Calleva was recognized as a 2012 Bethesda Green Environmental Champion.
