On November 17, 2012, over 25 heating, air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC)
contractors spread out around the Washington, DC metro area to service heating
equipment, preparing the systems for the winter months, for military families. These
contractors voluntarily offered both the service technician’s time and basic material
needed to insure that systems were ready for the cold weather.
Partnering with the USO, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America-National
Capital Chapter (ACCA-NCC), serviced over 67 homes in a way of giving back to our
servicemen.
“We, as a country, ask so much of our military and their families. Our association
wanted to do something to say “thank you” for all they do,” said Mike Brennan, ACCANCC’s
President.
The association is planning to perform a Service for Our Servicemen check
program in the spring of 2013 for the air conditioning systems; again partnering with the
USO.
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America — National Capital Chapter is a
non-profit trade association. They are of service to the heating, ventilation, air
conditioning and refrigeration industry in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and
Virginia areas
