I'm terribly sorry to hear the devasting and shocking news about the passing of Celeste Clark due to her battle with cancer. I want to express my sympathy for her passing. I was really shocked when I first heard the news. She was one of my favorites on the station, and I listened to her show every week day ever since I started listening to this station back in 1994. I'm really going to miss hearing her on the air and miss hearing her show. She did a tremendous job as a D.J. and was really great about turning a bad day into a good one. My heart goes out to everyone in her family, and all her friends. Best wishes to everyone at the station. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends. We'll miss you Celeste, your memories here on Mix 107.3 will live on forever! Rest In Peace.
Kathryn Campbell
As one of the 13 arbitron listeners I will miss Celeste's voice and personality on 107. She was one of the few "personalities" on FM radio that didn't sound like everyone else. Loosing someone of our age and with such gifts is a real tragedy.
Michael Baker
Wow, what a shock to hear this very very sad news being a long time Q107/MIX107.3 listener. Celeste was a super person and I had talked to her many times on the radio over the years as well as communicate with her over e-mail. She was a sweet, classy and very kind lady. She will be sorely missed, but will be in our hearts forever. My deepest sympathy, well wishes, thoughts, and prayers go out to her family and friends. Take care.
Neal "The Movie Guy"
Celeste WAS Mix 107.3. She was my personal favorite in the Mix family and will be horribly missed. I've been a fan of hers since the 80's - her voice of velvet and cheerful disposition will truly be missed. Celeste and her family are in our prayers....
MaryAnn
Our family has been living in Germany for the last 3 years and we are returning to the area this May. We were so looking forward to listening to our familiar friends on the air like Celeste. We will miss her so very much - home just won't be the same for us.
Carolyn
I always enjoyed listening to her. She was funny and talented. She will be missed.
Bob Cullen
I listened to Celeste every week day and LOVED her enthusiasm for her job. She made a bad day bearable. Much love and many heartfelt prayers go out to her family & friends. She will truly be missed by all. We love you Celeste...rest in peace.
Joann
How deeply saddened I am to hear about the loss of Celeste. My condolences go out to the Clark family and the Mix family. For many, many years I have listened to Mix 107.3 and enjoyed listening to Celeste. We may have lost a truly beautiful person but we have gained a wonderful guardian angel.
Joan
My condolences are with the Clark and Jenkins family. Celeste was the first Mix 107.3 Jock that I've met since coming to Leesburg from Southampton, England. I met Celeste at the Leesburg Outlets back in September 2002.
Matt
I was very sad to hear of Celeste losing her battle with cancer. I listened to her all the time in my office. I feel like I have lost a personal friend. :(0 She was always upbeat and funny. She also had great taste in tunes! My prayers go out to her husband and children as well as her MIX family during this difficult time. Please remember that she touched many lives in a positive way..mine included.
Betsy Marcus
My heart goes out to the Clark and Mix Family. Mix will never be the same without Celeste. We miss you and love you Celeste.
Heather Augustine
I had the pleasure of meeting Celeste once at an appearance here in our mutual hometown of Leesburg. She made easy conversation about some mutual friends and just could not have been a more pleasant, unaffected person. She was certainly lovely on the outside, and I am positive she was equally lovely on the inside. I will miss hearing her voice on the air.
Laura Purvis
I am a newer listener to your MIX 107.3 station. But My heart goes out to The Clark Family as well as The MIX Family.
Pattie
I interned for the first time at MIX 107.3, 2 years ago, and Celeste was one of the first people I met. She immediately took me "under her wing" and taught me so much, and her love for radio is definitely something I look to carry on, as I begin my career. That smile as I walked past the studio every day is something I'll never, ever forget.
Dan Henning
I would like to extend my deepest condolescences to Celeste's husband and her sons. I had the pleasure of listening to Celeste on the morning show back in the Q107 days. She will be sorely missed by all of her radio fans.
Emily Moon
Like many other Washingtonians, I had listened to Celeste "Candy" Clark for many many years. Even though I never met Celeste personally, I always felt as if she were in my living room chatting away with friends. Her passing brought tears. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family, friends and her MIX family as well. Celeste is an institution in DC. May she rest in peace.
Raimi
I will miss Celeste. I was a fan of hers. I remember listneing to her on the air. She always outgoing and a nice person. I listened to her all the time. I remember when would come to the mall.
Lisa Meyer
Celeste you are missed! To your family, Radio Family, Friends, and Fans, my prayers are with you and them! To Celeste thanks for 20 great on air years!
Bob Hite
The light has gone dim at the MIX studio, but now there is a star in the heavens that will always burn bright. My deepest sympathy to Celeste's family, off and on the air.
Aida Coonley
Celeste, you left us too soon. You will be missed.
Jane Hautanen
I have a loyal fam of 107 for years not to mention Celeste and the whole bunch. Her intelligence, wit, and "sunshine" will certainly missed. Go with the grace of God.
Steven
We are very saddened to hear about the lose of Celese Clark-Jenkins. We are personal friends of her family. Her husband, Jeff & her boys, Eric & Chris have been so supportive of her during her illness. We got to witness what a special & talented woman she was. We will miss you Celeste. We love you guys. Hang in there.
Katie, Kayla & Sandra Davis
When I heard the news of Celeste's passing, tears immediately sprang to my eyes. The passing of one so vibrant, warm and talented at such a young age is so tragic. My deepest sympathies go out to both Celeste's home family and her work family. I know that my words don't even come close to matching how you feel at such a loss.
Mary Bulla
We'll never know why God chooses to take our loved ones when he does. I am saddened by the news of Celeste and my prayers are with her family. I had the privilege of talking to her several times during "High/Low Jackpot". She was always upbeat and positive on and off the air. She always made me feel like I was a friend...not just a voice at the other end of the phone. To Celeste: You did great things for Mix 107.3. You will be sadly missed by all that knew you. May you rest in peace.
Sue Pash
I grew up in Prince George's County, Maryland, and I used to listen to Mix 107.3 back in the days when it was known as Q107. Since that time, I had enjoyed listening to Celeste, Jack, Bert and the rest of the morning show gang, and I loved hearing her witticisms and easygoing demeanor. She and Jack made the morning show that much more enjoyable! I have since moved to Boonsboro MD, where it is HARD to pick up that radio station (it's amazing how much living by a mountain will futz up your radio signal) and I was shocked to hear of her passing. Farewell Celeste, and thanks from the bottom of my heart for the warm memories I will possess forever! We'll all miss you!
Amanda Maynard
Our prayers are with Celeste's and the MIX family. She was a great radio personality. She will be missed. Our hearts go out to her family.
Ivona
It won't be the same at Montgomery Mall in November but I know Celeste would not want it any other way she would say the show must go on for charity and I think this year it should be in memory of her this November and all proceeds should go to her foundation I have gone to the mall every year and it has been a pleasure to see her smile all the time and jokes too with her she was so good with the kids at the mall too I hope Jack and Jimmy can pull some strings and do a memory for her at Montgomery Mall in November I would not want it any other way. Our prayers are with her family but I know her mom and dad are strong people. God bless
John
We are very saddened to hear about the lose of Celese Clark-Jenkins. We are personal friends of her family. Her husband, Jeff & her boys, Eric & Chris have been so supportive of her during her illness. We got to witness what a special & talented woman she was. We will miss you Celeste. We love you guys. Hang in there.

Celeste was full of grace, elegance, passion, compassion, energy and talent. I will miss singing and dancing with her and hearing her Lucy impersonations. I will keep Celeste's family in my head and in my heart. I love you C2. You are truly a sparkling star!
Nancy Stevens
My prayer are with you and your family
Connie Moyers
I am originally from Lovettsville Va and lived most of my life in or around Leesburg. I now live in the Seattle WA area... Celeste was a great radio personality and I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing...what a great loss of Washington metro area radio... I will pray for Celeste and the mix107.3 family at this difficult time.
John Laing
Words are pretty inadequate to express the deep sorrow I feel at the passing of Celeste. I am a listener from way back in the old Q107 days, and remember "Candy Clark" keeping me company in the wee hours of the morning as I drove home from who know's where. Later, when she had the mid-day shift, her warm voice was still there keeping me company. I loved to hear her talk about her boys - I remember her Barilla pasta commercials and her "little sous chefs". She was the consummate professional, yet somehow managed to make the radio experience an intimate, personal chat with a friend. I have sorely missed her sparkling wit over the last year, and my heart goes out to her family. God bless you, Celeste, and thanks for sharing so many years of yourself with us. We were truly blessed.
Beth W.
A nice nice person, fun to listen to. I remember listening to her voice since the Q days. She will be missed. Her spirit will be with us forever. My condolences to her family.
Jacob
Our sincerest condolences to Celeste's husband and her boys. We are also Loudoun residents and are saddened by the loss of one of our county's lights.
Gravess family
I have listened to mix 107 since I was a young girl, yes back when it was known as Q107 and "Chris the Q-girl" was around. Celeste was always one of my favorite dj's to listen to and I always loved her laughter that she could send over the air waves. My heartfelt prayers go to her family and her radio family. Her memory will live forever in all of our hearts. Too remember her even more...lets all walk for cancer reseach. If we all come together we all can and will make a difference for so many. God Bless.
Terry Long Simmons
Celeste was such a joy to speak to on the few occasions I got through. She will be truly missed as one of the shining stars on MIX!
Carol H
I am sorry to hear about Celeste's passing. My thoughts go out to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
Stephanie Palmer
I got to know Celeste when both of her boys went to our school. She would come in and pick them up and would sit around and let them play while she would chat with the staff. Celeste always had the smoothest voice and she was the type of person you could talk to for hours about anything(if she got a dress on sale or just took some time off for herself). I really enjoyed our talks and I especially admired the patience she showed with Eric and Chris. I was stunned to hear the news and pray for her entire family. I know this will be an especially hard time for her husband and children.
Derena LeonGuerrero
Witty, nice, sweet, zany, intelligent, talented: all of these describe Celeste Clark. I listened to her regularly since the old Q107 days, and I shall miss her. My condolences to her family.
Lisa
My thoughts and prayers are with Celeste's family. May you live in the memory of her spotlight. Loving wishes from one of her fans.
Laura R.
I only had the pleasure of making her aquaintence once, several years ago, while visiting then program director Steve Kosbah. A very sweet and talented lady, and a legend in the DC radio market. She will be geatly missed.
JoJo Morales, Star 94, Atlanta
I listened to Celeste's voice for many years while she was on the morning program. I knew she was not well and missed her voice when she moved to a different time slot. I was surprised and saddened upon the news of her death and my condolences go out to her family. I will especially miss her witty and createive "odes" and poems.
Cheryl Brown
Celeste your voice will be missed greatly, but I'll always will remember how is sounded. My prayers are with your family at this time.
Brenda Bowles
I am so sorry to hear this news. I was in shock when I heard this morning of Celeste's passing. I really enjoyed listening her. She brought such laughter and a big smile to my heart. Oh, and not to mention, her sassy humor! What a joy she was. All my best to her family.
Sharon
I attended high school with Celeste and was shocked to hear of her death. On behalf of the Washington-Lee High School Class of 1973, we would like to offer our condolences to her family and friends.
Julie Money Crull
I listened to Celeste's show ever since I found 107.3 while riding to work one day. I was very curious why she hadn't been on the air; now I know and I send her family and friends my condolences. I hope her kids are OK and are coping well. I lost my mother when I was 25; it's not easy. Your kind words the other day, Jack, when you announced her passing were very moving, yet tender.
Michael Lucas
The list here is so long already - what a compliment! I was taken aback to hear the news because she was truly too young and sassy. Celeste once told me she got one of her first big breaks in radio via a phone call. The manager spoke with her for a few minutes and felt like he knew her - and after a few minutes, didn't we all? I hope her family and friends take comfort that she was such an accomplished woman who made a mark on the world.
Sharon
I feel like I have known Celeste forever, even though we never met face to face. It is amazing to me how a person can touch so many lives of so many people that she hasn't met. The choir of angels in Heaven have one more beautiful voice...my deepest sympathy to your family and friends.
Dara
I was in shock when I heard Jack say that Celeste had passed away. She will be missed.
Dena
I have listened to Celeste for as long as she has been on this station. I am a loyal listener from the Q days. She will be missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family.
Linda Hull
I used to listen to Celeste on the radio, and then finally got to meet her one day, unfortunately it was in the chemo room a couple of months ago while my husband was getting his chemo. Celeste's good friend, Debbie, who I do know, came to sit and care for her over the hours. So we all had a nice converation for a while. I was just so impressed about how nicely dressed Celeste was, wearing her pearls and earrings, while not feeling well and getting her chemo. I'm glad that I finally got to meet her and pray for her and her family.
Kathy
We are all going to miss you. may god confort your family at this time. I listened to her for many years a very sweet and nice personality. And very nice to talk too. I will send my prayers to your station and the mix 107.3 staff and her family. It will be the same and god take care of her in heaven. Keep rocking
Daniel Bertman Paul Mason
Heaven just received an angel. I too have enjoyed Celeste's soft and sweet voice for 20+ years. My prayers are for her family and friends. She will be missed.

I am sadden at the loss of Celeste Clark. I loved listening to her. I have been listening to the station when it was Q107. I am going to miss Celeste Clark. I feel for her family and her coworkers.
Patricia Andronicos-Popham
May God give your family the peace in their hearts as they remember you and have you in their hearts for ever, you will be missed...
Lorena Iraheta
Celeste was such an elegant woman. Taken from those who loved her much too soon. I remember right after 9/11 when so many of us were still in shock, Celeste was the one who brought me to tears with her words of comfort. Her soothing words delivered with the exact perfect blend of calm and caring will be with me always. I cry now for her.
Ed
So many years spent together getting through the mid-day... me at work and you there with your microphone. I've missed your voice these past few years, and will keep your family in my prayers. You truly are a "Celestial" Angel.
Judy LaNore
As Celeste's absence from the radio lengthened into days, then weeks, and then months, I came to realize that she must have been very ill. Like many of your loyal listeners I have come to think of the Mix 107.3 family as part of my own. When Jack told us that she had passed away I felt my heart break, and with tears in my eyes I said a prayer for her, her family both at home and on the radio. It is a very special person who can make you feel like a friend when you've never even met. God bless you and and may you help the other angels dance to the music.
Martha F.
We really could not believe our ears when we heard of Celeste's passing. We hoped we heard wrong, but the reality finaly set in. As long time loyal listeners since the Q days, Jack in the morning and Celeste in the afternoon, we had missed her and wondered why. Now we know. She was an institution in our lives as in so many others. Our prayers are with the Clark and Mix family. Rest easy Celeste.
Fran n Ray Moore
I just wanted to share how much I enjoyed listening to Celeste and how much I will miss hearing her everyday. I truly hope it is comforting to her family to know how many lives she touched and how many people she helped each and every day. I will really miss hearing her warm and oh so friendly voice each day. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and everyone at MIX 107.3.
Laura Lane-Unsworth

Celeste was so genuinely sweet and kind. Heaven needed an angel with an angelic voice. Her heavenly name, Celeste, was so fitting. May her family at home and her family at MIX celebrate her life and her beautiful memory. My sincerest condolences to both of her families.
Sherry Sherry
We all lost a very beautiful lady. Our Prayers to her family and friends. We will miss you Celeste.

I too have listened to Celeste since the 80s, and will truly miss her. My deepest condolences go out to her family and her MIX family. May God Bless Her!
Tina
Such a loss to so many who have listened and laughed with Celeste. She will be deeply missed but she touched so many for years and years. Her memory will live on and on and on. Thank you Celeste!
Andrea
My prayers are with Celeste family and loved ones. I was a fan of Celeste.
Carolina
I never had the pleasure of meeting Celeste in person, but when I worked the overnight shift across the hall at WMAL in the early '90s, staff members were constantly praising her skill and great work ethic. In the radio business, being somewhere for a year is a significant accomplishment. But 20 years at the same station is almost unheard of. To do this, while raising a family and being a mentor, is simply awesome. God bless her family and know that someday, we will all be reunited again.
Robert Cohen
I love that I could always hear the smile in her voice. Celeste, you will be very much missed!
Joyce
What a shock. I was taken back to hear that Celeste had passed. I had listened to her since the Q107 days in middle school. As I grew into my 20's and now in my 30's it was nice to turn the radio on and to hear a voice that was true. Words she spoke came from honesty. I personally felt the emotion she expressed in her words. You could feel her smile, her disappointment, her truth. It was a pleasure having children and being able to turn on MIX and know it would be clean. Celeste was one kind. I have missed the connection and balance she and Jack Diamond had in the morning, but I always held out hope that she would return to the mornings. Celeste will truly be missed and the large void she has left will be hard to fill.
HRG
Very shocked to hear the passing of Celeste, so young!!!!! Loved her show. My thoughts and prayers are with you and her family.
Robin
Mix won't be the same without her melodious voice. My students and I will be praying for her family and her co-workers during this sad time.
Peggy Konieczka
Celeste will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. God speed.
Tammy Colletti
Over the years I so enjoyed listening to Celeste's stories about herself, her career and that of her dad also. When she was missing from the air for so long, I suspected she might be ill. I assumed that she would make a full recovery from her ailment and return to entertain us. I heard Jack announce her passing and I was totally shocked and saddened. Thanks for all the years of laughs, good times and good music you provided. Rest in peace, Celeste. You were one of a kind and you did make a difference in the lifetime you were given.
Carolyn
Wow, I am in shock! I just returned from overseas and am working late (and of course listening to MIX 107.3) when I heard the news. I too have been a long time listener of Mix 107.3 since the days of Q107. Celeste, you will be dearly missed. I never got the chance to meet you, but I feel like I've always known you. Rest in peace.
Lance C.
After being out of town since Sunday, I just heard Cindy Maguire announce Celeste's passing. I've listened to her for over 15 years....through college, through days off, and through work. I am just amazed that a person with such a vibrant, happy, and ALIVE voice could have been so sick....and is now suddenly gone. I wish her family fewer tears as the days go on....
Janice
We are shocked to hear about Celeste. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time. Warmest regards to her family.
The Colburn Family
Celeste and I were friends in junior high and high school, living not far from each other in Arlington. Even as a young girl she was vibrant and vivacious, with a sparkling personality. Though we didn't stay in contact as adults, only touching base at high school reunions, I will always remember her with fondness. When my children and I would hear her through the years on the radio, I would always say, "I know her!" and they were always impressed!
Shelley Greenlief Schultze
I am so saddened by Celeste's death. I have truly missed hearing her deep raspy voice and her contagious laugh every morning. It was always so much fun listening to Jack, Celeste, Jimmy and yes, Bert cut up in the old days. She made women feel like she was their personal spokesperson with all you guys. That laugh, I'll never get that laugh out of my head, I can still hear her. Thanks to all of you and her family for sharing her with us every morning. I know she'll be one of the most admired angels in heaven.
Penney
My thoughts and prayers are with all your Family, freinds, and co-workers. It's hard to believe your gone. I have been with you from the Q107 days and we miss you greatly.
Michele B
We were so sad to hear about Celeste. We lived in Va. in the 80's, and knew Celeste and Jeff. She was a great person. Everyone has lost a lot. God Bless the family.
Bill and Pat Moffat
I am deeply saddened by the untimely passing of our dear friend Celeste. She was one of the nicest female radio hosts I have ever known. I have chatted with Celeste many a time and I always hung up my phone with a big smile. Her voice, and especially her laughter always was very pleasant to hear and I will miss her a lot. May prayers go to her family and to her MIX 107.3 family too. This world is going to be darker without her perky bright self in it.
Maggie Witt
My heart goes out to her family, co-workers, and friends. You could tell from the way Jack Diamond spoke about her on Monday that everyone loved Celeste. I lost a dear friend to lung cancer in January. So I understand how difficult this is to accept. She is in a better place now watching over her family and friends - an Angel on High! She will be deeply missed.
Linda Van Landuyt
It says a lot about someone when the accolades on this page keep scrolling...and scrolling...and scrolling. Celeste was a real sweetheart and a true pro; a real person on the air--which is what radio is supposed to be about, anyway. Anyone who heard her on-air was privileged. Anyone who knew her personally was blessed. What's hardest here is writing about Celeste in past-tense. That will be hard to deal with for a long, long time. Rest well.
Sean Hall
Thanks to Mix for this wonderful tribute page. Some airchecks spotlighting her career as the longest personality on 107.3 would be in order. She was absolutely dedicated and serious about her work.
Jon
Very sorry to hear of Celeste's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and her family.
Rita Zimmerman
Hi Celeste I sorry about your lost I feel very bad about. We all miss you at the New Mix 107.3. Your Friend.
Gretchen
I feel numb knowing that Jeff & the boys - And all of us - have lost Celeste - It's been only a year since my own Father passed after a long struggle with Alzheimers - But Celeste - So young and beautiful - So caring and giving and so full of life - Even on her worst days, she shared that beautiful smile of hers with everyone she worked with and happily with all of her listeners as well - The beauty of you Celeste - on the oustide and from within will live on in the hearts and minds of all of those whose lives you touched - You were an Angel on earth - Now - You are an Angel to so many more - You & Your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers now and always - Long may the beauty and memory of you shine on...
Bill O'Brien
I am a long time listener of Mix 107 and I was very sadden to hear of Celeste Clark passing. Was wonderful radio personality. I lost my dad to cancer many years ago and it was really hard. I know she will very missed.
Melissa Britton
I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Celeste Clark. I, like many of your listeners, have listened to Celeste since the Q107 days. Her sweet voice and cheerful attitude got me through many days at work. I have missed her recently and will miss her terribly not that she is gone. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. As we say in the morning with Jack Diamond "Loved Your Show Babe."
Marian Loushay
Celeste was one of the most genuinely warm people I've ever had the pleasure to work with or know...I was so sad to hear of her passing. I appreciate this opportunity to give my condolences to her friends and family - especially her husband and two boys - Celeste was a very special person.
Nancy Hubacher
Like many of the other listeners, I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of her passing. She seemed so vibrant and full of life. What a fantastic tribute to her, her family and friends to have so many people compelled to say how much she enriched their lives. I hope these thoughts and memories help her family, friends and co-workers through this difficult time. I am proud to be a loyal listener of a radio station that focuses on the positive. It is clear that she had a positive impact on so many people's lives. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone she touched.
Mary Hawbecker
I was so saddened on Monday when I learned about Celeste's death. After listening to her for many, many years I felt as if I knew her, even though I had never met her. Her absence has left a big hole in not only my life, but also the many, many lives that she touched every day. May God bless her family - thank you for sharing her with us!
Erin
Our Thoughts and prayers are with mix and her family.
The Stadler family
My heart sank earlier this week when I saw the announcement on the website. I am a relatively new listener and never had the opportunity to hear Celeste on the radio. After reading all of the great things about her, I am further saddened that I didn't get to know such a wonderful person. My prayers are with her family and those you loved her.
Cindy Arnold
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Celeste's death. I didn't know why she was no longer on the radio, but I never thought she was terminally ill. I listened to her daily at work and she had such a beautiful personality and voice. My condolences to her family and to her MIX107.3 family as well. She will be missed very much.

I have grown up with Celeste and will miss her gentle, kind and soothing voice on the airwaves. I was deeply saddened to hear about her loss. I was very impressed with her dedication to her family and her two boys. It also encouraged me to be the same way with my children. Her legacy will continue to grow through her children and her fans. We will miss you Celeste! Your love will never run out when your family hugs one another; the circle will never break! God Speed and God Bless You!
Brenda
I have listened to this station ever since it was Q107. Celeste was the best! Her personality and cheerfulness will be missed. May peace be with Celestes' family and co-workers. My prayers are with you.
Deb
I was very saddened to hear Jack's annoncement of Celeste's death on Sunday. Having been here since 1992, I started listening to Jack in the morning and Celeste in the afternoons, whenever possible. She brought a great warmth to the airwaves, and no matter how busy she was, she always took the time to listen and talk with me. We share the same birth day, and she loved her immediate family and her radio family which included all her loyal listeners. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeff and her family, and the Mix107 family as well. She will be greatly missed.
Mark McKeown
My heart and prayers go out to Celeste's family and friends. She will truly be missed.
Melisa Rashid
The thing that I noticed most about her was the way she talked. I could picture her smiling as she spoke. Her voice was very cheerful. She will be missed. You were fortunate to have her for so many years.

I listened to Celeste when I was a kid back in the Q107 days. She was on with Chris Jagger. I always wanted to call her and ask her about that. I never did. She was cool.
Seth
Prayers are with everyone. I lost my sister this year due to Ashma Attack but breast cancer is also a concern for the women of our family. I took will miss hearing her on my way home from work!
Colleen Middleton
I was sorry to hear of Celeste's passing. My heart and prayers go out to her family and friends.
Chris
It is with tremendous sadness that I offer condolences to Jeff and the boys and all of the radio family that knew and worked with Celeste. As the former Q-107 News Director and morning show co-host in the late 80s I worked with Celeste every day and looked forward to discussing life, love and the hurdles we encountered. After several years away from the D.C. area I emailed Celeste and asked if she rememered me. Her reply was of course, "you were one of the good guys." Pretty good way to be remembered. Jeff, as the husband of a breast cancer survivor, I understand the emotions of the past year and wish your future had turned out like mine. I also offer any assistance or support I can give should you need it. My heart is heavy.
Rick Jewell
I have been listening to q107 & now mix 107.3 for more years then I can remember... and Celeste always had a easy way about her that could make any hard day... just go by with ease.. May God be with your family and with your family at 107.3 during this difficult time..
Alexandra

My family and I will miss her dreadfully and send our sincerest condolences to her husband Jeff and her two sons. God bless her.

Beth
Celeste and I shared an apt. when she first began working at Q107. She was so excited to get that job and maintained such a strong work ethic in her 20 years on the air. Thanks for sharing that it meant as much to you, her listeners, as it did to her. Miss you, spudette!!!
Toni
Like so many others, I was shocked to hear Jack say Celeste passed away on Sunday. I, like everyone else who listen to your station wondered what happened when I did not hear her on the 10 - 2 time slot. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time. When my father passed away, I received a card that helped me through a difficult time. The card said "when you look at the sky tonight, do not see them as stars, but as porchlights welcoming your loved one home." Hopefully those words will help her radio family as well as her husband and sons.
Mary Jo
We've lost a beautiful person. I loved to listen to her on the radio. I talked with her once, but felt like I knew her. May her husband and children find comfort in knowing we share in their lose. I'm sure she'll be a shinning star in heaven.
Lori H.
I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. Celeste will truly be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and extended family at Mix 107.3.
Kathy C
I remember Celeste Clark best following her around the DC Area to all the local promos at Woodward and Lothrup and various retail stores, setting up live broadcasts and giving away prizes, back when the station was known as Q107. Good times with her, Uncle Johnny, and Chris Jagger!
John Korman
I had the pleasure of working iwth Celeste (after Sandy) for many years. She was a true professional that owns one of the best female voices in the business. She was a great friend, mother and wife. She will be missed...until we meet again.......

How can it be that you're shocked at the passing of someone you know only by the sound of their soft and calming voice? God is blessed to have her closer to Him. Best wishes to the Clark family.
Dan S.
I was saddened by the news of Celeste's death on Sunday, she was a shining star. I am her son's English teacher and Celeste volunteered her time in my classroom to help budding writers edit their masterpieces. She brought a ray of sunshine into my classroom and touched the lives of my students. I will never forget her, especially as I look into the face of her son who resembles her on so many levels. She will be missed.
Michele Oldenquist
The passing of someone so lovely, caring, funny and eloquent saddens me and everyone who was lucky enough to share her special gifts and qualities with her radio audience. My prayers are with her family at this tremendously difficult time.

Eva Blankenship
Such a beautiful and wonderful woman, I loved listening to her in the afternoon while at work. Her family and loved ones are in my prayers. God bless.
Jenifer Gerber
Like so many of the posters, I started listening to Celeste Clark back in the "Hits Happenin' Right on Q107" days. Her consummate class act of professionalism and cheerfulness will be missed on the airwaves. Over the past ten years or so we've lost so many talented DJ's. Wolfman Jack, "The Real" Don Steele, Robert W. Morgan, and now Celeste Clark. Our radios are the poorer. But, I bet PM Drive is now sounding great on "Heaven 107!" Thankfully, we have recordings of Celeste to inspire future generations of DJ's. For Celeste's family: May God Bless You and Keep You. May God Grace You with His Countenance. May God Look Upon You with Favor and Grant You the Peace that is now Celeste's.
John Pinckney
What a shock! I long wondered why haven't I been able to hear Celeste on the air. I deeply, sadly presente my condolences to both of her families: Clark and Mix107.3 FM. May God shower her with his mercy.
Mohamed Brahimi
Was very sad to hear of Celeste's passing. I greatly enjoyed listening to her on the airwaves for many years and while I never had the pleasure of knowing her, her great personality shined on the air. The radio medium has lost a gem. She will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to her family.
Kevin

What sad news. I grew up listening to Celeste for the past twenty years - I used to love to listen to her afternoon show as I drove home from school. She will be terribly missed. I think a memorial show, in her honor, would be wonderful. I'll miss you Celeste - no one can replace you!! My condolences to your family during this difficult time.
Heather
I was saddened to hear the news that Celeste had passed away. To her family and friends, may you find peace in knowing that you are in all of our prayers. Her warm, friendly voice was a welcome to hear. She will be missed.
Yolanda
I was saddened to hear of Celeste's passing, she had a great personality for radio and will be truly missed.
Nicki
I am comforted by the voice of Jack Diamond in the morning and I was comforted by the voice of Celeste in the afternoon. Driving a long distance to get to work and back home leaves along void in one's daily routine and quite often, radio DJs fill that void. Not many have the talent to bond with the listeners and make them feel at ease during the stop and go driving grind. But Celeste had that natural talent. She knew what people wanted to hear and she was a soothing voice during many of my rush hours. When I stop to think about it, it was all about me. My drive home. Why don't traffic move. I want to get home. Now, Clesete is home. A better home than anyone will have here is earth. I will miss you, Celeste Clark.
Sherri
I will miss the happy tone of her voice. I am at a loss, but my prayers are with her friends and her family. Although I never met her, I listened to her for years and she sounded like a wonderful person. May the peace of God be with you all.
Yolanda Jackson

It was my pleasure to listen to Celeste on my trip home from work in the afternoon, she will truly be missed by her listeners.
Shelley
I used to listen to Celeste when I was a girl back when the station was Q107, and I continued to listen to her on Mix107.3 as an adult with a daughter of my own. She had the most warm and wonderful voice. I got to talk to her once on the phone when she called me to say I'd won lunch from Eatzi's for myself and my co-workers through a radio contest. She was just as kind and friendly on the phone as she seemed to be on the air. She will greatly missed by all who have been touched by her lovely voice and personality.
Leah Haworth
I was so sad to hear about Celeste's passing. Even though I did not personally met her, she always chat with me each time I get a chance to call the station like one time I was very disappointed for being so close to almost winning the Mercedes 230 by one point, she made me feel better with her incredible voice, funny jokes, amazing character and natural antics like a best friend. Celeste - You will be missed.....
Ella
Celeste will be greatly missed. No matter how bad your day was going, she could put a smile on your face.

So talented, so beautiful and so soon to be gone. We never worked together ON the radio but we did share some events. A kind soul who will be missed by many.
Bob Madigan
Washington radio will never be the same. An end of an era has occured. It is truly a tragedy that we will never be able to hear her beautiful voice on air again. The angels have called Celeste home. May she be forever in peace. I have listened to 107.3 a long time and the station has indeed lost an icon.
Tina

I met Celeste at a halloween fest that took place at the Rockville Mall (when it existed). At the time I was six - and she autographed a Q107 bumper sticker for me. I still have it to this day. May Washington radio treasure her contributions to the area for a long, long time.
Kristin
Losing Celeste is like losing a part of my youth. She will be greatly missed.
Michael Kim
We were fortunate to have met Celeste when she worked with us on community events. She had a gentleness and genuineness that shone through when you met her. God Bless you Celeste, and your family, and may they find strength during this very sad time.
Louise & Frank
You made the world a better place wwith your presence, grace, and that incredible voice. I am saddened by your loss. You will always be remembered.
Sherry
First impression: working one morning at WMAL 1997, coming into the kitchen to see Celeste coming in from the studio, exhausted, coughing and sneezing from that day's allergy attack, eyes puffy, etc. etc. -- not much time to talk, in the middle of her shift, but she just reminded me that it was more important for her to be there, on the air, entertaining, keeping the station alive and making everyone else's day easier, more important than how she happened to feel that day. And, after that, I was always grateful to be working nearby, knowing I could never match her drivetime drive. My condolences to her father, family, and the ABC team in DC.
David Smolar
Like Johnny Moore, I remember Celeste from grade school- she was a presence even when we were children, with her smile and grace! She became a remarkable woman, and will be remembered as so much more than a radio personality. My heart goes out to her family.
Bob Dodd
Back in 1989, I wrote a letter to Q107 to request a song to be played for all my friends. A year earlier, I had lost my fiance in an automobile accident and I just wanted to thank all my friends for their love and support in getting me through the year. I really didn't think anything was going to come of it until a few mornings after I sent it, I heard Celeste read my letter on the air while I was driving in to work. I called the station to say 'thank-you' to no one in particular and Celeste took a little time from her show to say a few words to me. It meant a lot then and it still does now.
Judd
I attended St. Ann's Elementary School in Arlington with Celeste and of course lost touch as the years went by. It was a real treat to hear her on the radio every day after so many years. She was one of the best personalities on the radio ever. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family and friends.
John Moore
'See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.' Exodus 23:20 Our prayers for Celeste's sons and family, and for the Mix 107.3 family. What a beautiful Lady, is she.

I was so sad when I heard the news about the passing of Celeste Clark. I was still hoping she would come back to us so we could enjoy her impeccable style. I must say she was my favorite. She was such a great lady. Every time I would speak to her she was so sweet, and nice. And her voice on the air was the most soothing and cheerful. Her attitude was great, always upbeat, and positive, and so pleasant. I can still see her face in my mind, so beautiful inside and out. We will not forget Celeste. She always treated her listeners with respect and kindness, and made others feel good. She truly left a mark in our hearts.
My prayers and thoughts go out to Celeste family and friends and to her Mix 107 family during this difficult time.
Teresa M.
I no longer live in the D.C. area, but a good friend of mine told me last night that Celeste had passed away. I was so sad to hear that news. Celeste was byfar my favorite female radio personality growing up in the 80s/90s. I've listened to her since Q-107 and even got to interview and film her for a high school project when I was in 10th grade. She was so kind and gracious to let me interview her and tour the studio. Celeste, you will be missed!
Albert Lee

Stephanie
As soon as I heard Celeste's voice I knew what time of the day it was. It didn't seem like radio when I didn't hear her for a while. Like a fixture that's always there. Her personality permiated throught the air waves. It was as if she was talking to me directly sometimes. Sometimes she made me laugh out loud and I would answ, er back out loud that's right Celeste and enjoy the music she would introduce. What a joy it was to listen to her and be in the presence of her company on the air. I haven't bee affected by other people on air like with Celeste, I guess she must have been a special person that is like a bit of sunshine for all who cross her path. Very pleasant, professional and comforting voice. God Bless the Clark family during this difficult time and my condolences to 107.3.
Maura
Celeste touched so many lives with her talent, kindness and friendship. I'm thankful our paths crossed! My thoughts and pra, yers are with her family.

Celeste, I listened to you as I grew up. Later, I listened to you while I took my son to school. It didn't matter what kind of a day I was having you always brightend it. I especially looked forward to your odes through them you reminded me to enjoy the mundane, the little chaos that comes with life and life in general. You helped me to find the humor in the most difficult of days, . I thank you for that, it's a gift I hope to keep always but at the same time give to others. Thank you.
Kristina
I am so sorry to hear about Celeste's passing. I have been a listener since 1985 - I remember when Celeste did traffic and news. I was so happy for her when she got her own show. She was a true joy to listen to. I know she will be greatly missed by family and friends (and listeners).
Mary
I grew up listening to Celeste on various TV an, d, radio news shows. Her distinctive voice and wry sense of humor will definitely be missed.
Eddie
Celeste will be sorely missed. I had the opportunity to talk to her twice when I was the 10th caller for the High-Low game. Even though my guesses were wrong, we had conversations in the slack time between her answering the phone and the on-air time. She was a friend although I never met her. My condolences go to both her families, Mix 107.3 and the Jenkins.
Maureen
I am very sorry to hear of Celeste's passing. She was so positive and full of life. And her voice, which is the only way I knew her, conveyed a warmth and grace that is too often missing from the airwaves today. She and her family will be in my prayers.
Christine
It saddens me to hear the news of the passing of Celeste. My prayers go out to her family.
Olivia Fox
I lost my husband early as well and there is nothing that can be said other than to offer you my heart felt sympathy for your loss, God Bless!
Peggy
The community has suffered a great loss with the passing of Celeste. The thing that stands out most in my mind is that her voice was infectious. Even though you could obviously not see her while she was on the air, you could "hear" her smilling.
Lynne Bergmen
I met Celeste following the John Wayne Bobbitt trial when I was in-studio with Barbara Britt doing a recorded show about the trial. Celeste and I spoke for a bit and I was instantly enamoured wi, th her poise, her vivacious charactor and endearing smile. I moved away from the DC area but everytime I was in town, you can bet I had the car radio tuned to Celeste. I moved back to Virginia from Houston 2 yrs ago and now live in Winchester. The passing of such an impassioned woman is devistating. But knowing we had the pleasure of her acquaintance, if even for a s, hort time through this journey of life, makes each one of us a better person on many levels! You will be missed!
Kenny
God be with you.......
Jenn
Working in radio today, I have fond memories of the jocks I listened to growing up. To me, Celeste is a responsible party for pushing me into this career, and the epitome of both Q107 and Mix 107.3. My thoughts and prayers are with Celeste's entire family.
Max
I always enjoyed listening to Celeste. One day she shared a wonderful quote about music, and when I emailed her, she emailed me back to give me the source of the quote - which happened to be Shakespeare. She will be greatly missed by all who shared her company every day.
Linda Bass
I felt like I've spent the past 20 odd years growing up with Candy/Celeste. I either fell asleep with her, or for a brief period woke up with her. I remember some of the voices she did on the Morning show with J.J & Christian (before Mix and Jack) Everyone has said it so well; she embodied a style, grace and sense of comfort in our everyday lives that will be harder to fill now, but we as listeners are all better for having heard this Angel. May her family take comfort in the fact that we are all with them at this time.
Tommy
Celeste was wonderful at her job. She was always so upbeat and full of life. I especially remember her waiting for the birth of her sons. They are very fortunate to have had such a doting mother! She will be greatly missed.
Ann
Having only recently moved out of the Mix 107.3 listening area, I was saddend to learn of Celeste's passing. Having lived in the area almost 20 years, Celeste was just part of my day. I have been listening to MIX107.3 (Q107) since elementary school (many years ago). I really have enjoyed Celeste Clark's voice and bubbly personality! I remember when she called me at work to inform me that I had won lunch for my office! I have missed her voice and personality, and am saddened by her passing. She touched many people in her unique way, and will continue to touch us in another form...spiritually. Thank you Celeste!!
Janet Barlow

Since I am new to the area, I never had the chance to listen to Celeste. However, from what I've been told, she was a talent that can never be replaced. I think it is only fitting that a dedication show is in order. Our thoughts and deepest prayers are with your family.
John
I was shocked to hear that Celeste passed away. I was wondering what happened to her I quess I thought she moved. I loved listening to her on the air. She was so funny. My deepest sympathy to her family. We will all miss you Celeste.

I was actually listening to Celeste when I was in Iraq this past year. I had recorded several hours of her radio show and music on a CD before I left for a mission in Kosovo from 2000 to 2002, so I wouldn't be so home sick. I actually kept that recording and brought it with me to Iraq last year. Once again, Celeste was there for me far away from home. I am devistated by the news of her passing. I know that she will keep the music playing and keep the folks entertained from her ultimate studio. God bless you and your family Celeste.
Noel
I knew that when her voice came on, that it really was time to wakeup and get to work (although I was already at work). Ms. Clark, you will be missed.

Jill
I started listening to Celeste on 107.3 back in the 80's when it was called Q107. I was in Middle School at the time. Somwhere along the road when I entered college I stopped listening. Several years later as I was driving to work I was flipping through the stations and stopped on Mix 107.3. It's now permanently programmed in my car. One reason was because when I heard Celeste's voice I was surprised to hear she was still on the show but most importantly I was comforted by her friendly voice - it was like coming home after being away for so long. My thoughts will go out to Celeste's family at home and her family at Mix 107.3.
Tammy S.

Aimee
I was shocked to hear yesterday (March 6th) that she had died of cancer on Sunday. She was a joy to listen to and fun as well during her morning drive time from 10AM to 2PM each weekday. She had style, grace, sense of humor, and most of all...class. She made me smile and have fun during the day while I was working or at home. Please send my condolences to her family, friends and also to the people (staff and other deejays) at MIX 107.3 and tell them that she is probably having a party up in heaven and spinning records for the residents and angels up there. And that you all will get to see her up there someday. Thoughts are with your family at this time.

I really loved Celeste so much. I hope you won't think this in poor taste but if you could do a memorial show, a happy one with air checks of her best moments, I think it would mean so much to the people who loved listening to her to help us say goobye.
Renee
I was an intern at ABC Radio about 5 years ago and remember Celeste Clark as always very nice and warm. Even before then I can remember her on 107.3 for many years and always enjoyed listening. I was shocked to hear of her passing and was saddened.

Gary Spears
I had talked to Celeste many times on the phone, and I know that there will be a huge void to be filled at Mix107.3 since the Angels came and took her home. I could hear the smile and happiness in her voice whenever we talked. My one greatest regret is that I never had the pleasure to meet her in person. Celeste May you rest peacefully. I will miss that warm friendly voice.
Cap Burless

She was a joy to listen to - her spirit was filled with love for her husband and children and her "job." I am certain that she "got to go to work vs. must go to work" Although I never met her - I think she would have made me feel like a old friend - she had a natural way of bringing her life into yours and making you feel a part of her life. My family prayers are with her and all who are blessed to have known her - May her spirit fill their heart - that they may feel the joy she is now enjoying - freedom from pain - really, that's what we want for her!
Patty
I am shocked to hear of Celeste's passing and I feel like she was so young. Please pass my condolances on to her family.
