It's confirmed!!...I'm a 'Real Housewife of DC'

Taping is beginning soon. Yes, it'll be grueling.  The time-management alone.  Balancing a morning show schedule and all my various family duties with shooting a reality tv series of the magnitude of 'Real Housewives of DC'.  I knew when I was sent the requirement information. The ideal 'housewife' is part suburban-part urban, with lots of emotional baggage in the romantic sense, complications galore with family and and an interesting profession, as comfortable at the White House Correspondent's Dinner as washing her own SUV, a full life that in currently in a very-evolving state, a willingness to wear their heart and their inner-child on their sleeve, and (hopefully) quick, quirky and communicative. Check, check, check, check, check, check.  And so I've had to clear my schedule.  And begin to assemble a cute wardrobe.   And sort out my personal relationships. And prepare the children (although the waiver will keep them well out of any shooting).  There's so much to do...so MUCH to do.

And perhaps the first and most important thing to do.  Discard my delusional thoughts.  Once and for all. Back to 'reality'.  I may be a housewife but I'll never be a "Real Housewife" and we all know it...and some of us are beyond thrilled about that!  Particularly my friends, family and colleagues!! 

The truth is that as much as I have loved each and every season of "Real Housewives" does not mean I'm well-suited to be a participant...in many cases, it does not go particularly well for them...and as precarious and unpredictable (and, yes, exciting) as my life may be at times currently - I'd like to hang on to as much normalcy and joy as I manage to extract from each day right now.  So, for the moment, no "Real Housewives of DC" for me...in spite of Bravo's incessant begging:)
